According to the Public Relations of the Soil Conservation and Watershed Management Research Institute, on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 Engineer Arakawa Fusataka, JICA Agency expert in Tehran, along with Engineer Mohammad Ali Shakeri, Advisor to the Deputy Minister of Horticulture of the Ministry of Agriculture-Jahad and Engineer Madah Ali, Deputy Horticulture expert visited the SCWMRI. In this meeting, Dr. Bagher Ghermezcheshmeh, Head of the Hydrology and Water Resources Development group, while introducing the group, expressed the achievements and results of the research institute in the development of small water resources and soil and water protection. Also In this meeting, Mr. Arakawa discussed general aspects of JICA activities in Iran and in particular the JICA joint project with the Deputy Minister of Horticulture of the Ministry of Agriculture-Jahad. Engineer Shakeri also praised the activities of the research institute in the field of rainwater harvesting and garden development, and emphasized on transferring these experiences to the executive bodies and farmers.

In the end, it was decided that in order to further cooperate, the research institute will share its experiences with the JICA team in compiling a joint proposal. At the end of the program, the guests visited the different sections and facilities of the SCWMRI.
